Interestingly the lanes in the city

Have become its thriving heart

Coffees with outside sitting

Offer the crowds a charming whiff

Of an over world where coffee

Could be slowly sipped accompanied by a macaroon

Under market umbrellas and gas heaters

Meeting with friends to talk about shopping just made

In infinitesimal stocked overpriced indie shops.

Pseudo art-nouveau lighting adds

A wizardly ambience in the early winter evenings

And eases the weary office worker in open bar

Surrounded by heavy rock music and graffiti

Back Into the modern world.
