Along the Great Ocean Beach,
Nature having time to spare
Brought sand and wave
by wave
Built an awesome cliff
Then carved through
each layer so carefully laid down
And thus appeared some
layered stone formations.
Egocentric man being
man, anthropomorphized them
By calling them “the
sow and piglets”
But still it was not
enough for it ranked of a sardonic
Turn of mind from
mankind facing a super power
And they became known
as the "Twelve Apostles"
Thus showing due
respect to power that be.
The primeval one, now that the ball was back in its court
Decided that twelve
were one too many
And sent one back to
the drawing board
To lay beneath the
waves.
Man shocked by this
undue expense of ire
Has kept quiet so far
and built some platforms
In order to
contemplate the next step.
