Zen Moments

A black raven on a branch
Of a river gum tree
Surrounded by a sandy patch
That's a zen moment.
Three black and white ibises
Strutting their stuff on the front lawn
That's a zen moment.
A lone magpie on the grey roof
Enjoying the rain sent by a grey sky
That's a zen moment.
A white heron standing by itself
Amongst black swans and black water hens
Hiding in the reeds for the night
That's a zen moment.
Grey Roos and wallabies grazing
In the paddocks at sunset
That's a zen moment.
A row of black cormorants resting
On a log stuck in the middle of the creek
That's a zen moment.

In global suburbia!
That's also a zen moment!
