To built a poetic bridge
Between two ancient continents
Such as Australia and India are,
Apart by cultural and historical oceans
Would be a task calling to mythic poets.
In order to achieve this titanic work
We, modern poets, famous or not,
Have freely chosen
To enter this etheric world
Only armed with words and dreams.
Busily establishing new connections,
Where none existed yesterday,
In order to built the foundations
Of this rainbow of words,
Each with its own hue and creed,
Hoping that it links strongly
In the network taking place
High above the abyss of distance,
Prejudice and ignorance.
Prejudice and ignorance.
The might of words is powerful
But will it be enough without the dreams?
So to my new poetic friends
Let's be generous and
Let's be generous and
Dream large, I say.
