Australians we are screwed!

Australians, we are screwed!

It’s been a week now

Our days have been disturbed.

At first the car honking accompanied

By joyous shouting, let us to believe

That is was some kind of Zero week student ritual

Directed towards passing drivers

We put up with it, hour after hour. 

Youth will be youth, you know the drill!

Then we realized that it was the nurses defying

The order of Fair Work Australia
Which has ordered them to return to work
And not strike for their workers rights.

Well, it is time, Australians to act

And to remind the politicians 

That they have been elected by us to represent us

And not some virtual governmental agencies

Or other corporative entities, global or not.

By not supporting them, the nurses,
We are not claiming our just rights

And then Australians, we'll be screwed!
