Five yellow things

To name five yellow things

Seems easy enough

A daffodil and butter cup are yellow

But they are both flowers

A fluffy chick or gosling

Once again are yellow

Or most of them are yellow

But are they things?

Okay I found one

Really yellow thing

A yellow rubber ducky

One that bobs up and down in the bath

Interestingly I also have one pink!

I know now, a yellow outfit

Like my postman or building workers

Wear when it is raining

From their floppy hats to their boots

Their mackintosh and large plasticky pants

Although they can be orange too.

Security helmets and

Yellow lines on the road

Can be white too.

And I won't cite by name the big M

That gives a cheap name to yellow.

Don't forget to mention the golden coin

That gives you entrance to the weekly music recital.

I forgot the yellow sun, hot merciless sun,

Impartial sustainer of life and death

Then of course there is the moon

So there we have identified

Five yellow things.

Ne citer que cinq choses jaunes

Cela semble assez facile.

Jonquilles et boutons d’or sont de couleur jaune

Mais sont toutes deux des fleurs.

Un poussin duveteux ou un oison

Une fois encore sont  jaunes

Mais ce sont des creatures vivantes.

Bon ca y est  j'ai trouvé

Une chose vraiment jaune

Un canard en caoutchouc

Un qui flotte dans le bain.

J'en ai même un rose, si cela vous intéresse!

Je sais maintenant, une tenue jaune

Comme celle de mon facteur ou des ouvriers en bâtiment

Les plus portés quand il pleut

De leurs chapeaux mous à leurs bottes

Leur mackintosh et leurs longs pantalons de plastic

Casques de sécurité et

Les lignes jaunes sur la route

Peuvent être blancs aussi.

Et je ne vais pas citer de nom le grand M

Qui donne une mauvaise réputation au jaune.

Ne pas oublier de mentionner la piècette dorée

Qui vous donne l’entrée du concert hebdomadaire.

J'ai oublié le soleil jaune, chaud et impitoyable,

Impartial pourvoyeur de vie et de mort.

Et bien sûr il y a la lune

Alors voilà, nous avons enfin  identifié

Cinq choses jaunes.
