Blame it on the diet!

Damn it, I hate having to watch my diet!

Going food shopping can be so frustrating sometime.

Today we went to an Asian supermarket

In Victoria road.

I found myself salivating almost drooling

On the variety of delicacies they were offering

I could almost see myself as an ancient oriental princess

Ordering tea and sweets to be served for my refreshment

There would have been twenty sorts of tea

Served in very fine translucid cups

With various flowers blossoms and flavours

Accompanied by a myriad of small dishes

Containing each a different dry and candied fruit

And an array of cakes made from many seeds

All separately prepared with care while a small group

Of musicians played in the background.

I could have happily stayed in the aisle dreaming there

Until a shop assistant had to disturb me

In order to replenish the shelf.

The dream was so real that even now

I feel the pangs of hunger and thirst

Attacking me!

Comme je déteste avoir à surveiller mon alimentation!

Faire les courses peut être si frustrant parfois.

Aujourd'hui nous sommes allés à un supermarché asiatique

Sur Victoria Road.

Je me suis retrouvée saliver et presque baver

Devant  la variété des mets qu'ils offraient

Je pouvais m’imaginer être une princesse orientale ancienne

Commandant du thé et des friandises pour une collation

Il y aurait eu une vingtaine de thés

Servis dans de très fines tasses translucides

Avec des fleurs et des saveurs de fleurs diverses

Accompagnées par une myriade de petits plats

Contenant chacun un fruit différent sec et confit

Et un plateau de gâteaux faits à partir de nombreuses graines

Tous préparés avec soin, et un petit ensemble

De musiciens jouant  à l'arrière-plan.

Je serais restée là volontiers dans l'allée à rêver

Jusqu'à ce qu'un employé de magasin me dérangea

Afin d’achalander les étagères.

Le rêve était si réel que, même maintenant

Je suis dans les affres de la faim et la soif !
