The companion

Floating island of my dreams
Carried away by fathomless currents
Of iridescent illusions and
Immanence temptations
Far from the harshness of life's pettiness
Ultimate refuge large enough to receive
The homage of love
The games of children and be
Comfort to the dogs
To hold precarious stacks of books
Papers and pens
And other paraphernalia
Amongst which thrones
The odd breakfast tray
And mountains of clothes to fold
Such is my domain
Changing its colour of mood
As necessity requires
So small and definite
The humble but honoured
Companion of my sleepless nights
My bed!

Lilacs

Wordle: Lilacs

Double hedge of lilacs  in bloom
Earthly paradise hidden from the uninitiated
At the bottom of the garden
Where I spent hundreds of dreams
Protected by the thick dark foliage
Looking downwards the rest of mankind
Listening to their meaningless games
While I was a princess in disguise
Thrown in an unfeeling time by error
Waiting for a knight to rescue me from
This cloudy and stormy universe.
Dreams have gone as useless fantasies
In an uncongenial world made of starched rules
And illogical hypocrisies so hurting to a child.
It needed all the perfume of the lilac blooms
To take me away on idyllic adventures
And farfetched travels.
Wishes and dreams can happen
If one is lucky enough to believe in them.
The smell of lilacs take me back there
Even today.

Wordle: Lilas
Me ramène à eux même aujourd'hui.
